Section 10 Consultation

Meridian Trust launched and now closed its Section 10 consultation in relation to its new Free School, Weldon Village Academy.
As part of the process of opening a new school, Meridian Trust is legally required to hold a consultation exercise (under Section 10 of the Academies Act 2010) to determine whether the Trust should enter into a funding agreement with the Secretary of State to set up a free school, namely the Weldon Village Academy. The consultation operated online as well as through public consultation events, details of which are below and on our Admissions page.
This consultation allowed parents/carers and pupils, staff and governors from local schools, other local authorities, councillors, local residents and any other interested parties to learn more about Weldon Village Academy, the wider Meridian Trust and to share their views.
The consultation period ran from Friday 16 September 2022 until 5pm Monday 31 October 2022. The consultation period is now closed.

The admissions consultation period is now closed but it allowed parents/carers and pupils, staff and governors from local schools, local authorities, councillors, local residents, and any other interested parties to share their views on the proposed Admissions Policy for 2023.
