Early Closure Notification

School closures can happen because of an emergency such as severe weather or a utilities supply issue (no mains water or power). 

It is a good idea to make a plan with your child and agree what actions they would need to take in the event of being sent home from school in the event of emergency closure.

In the rare event that we have to close due to snow, we aim to make a decision by 7.30am. 

Early morning closure

If there is any reason that the school cannot open in the morning, the school will do the following:

• Email parents and carers through Bromcom mail, please be aware that due to demand on the software, messages take time to get through.
• Post on the school website.
• Post on our Facebook page.

Closure during the school day

If there is any reason that the school has to close once students and staff have arrived, the school will do the following:

• Inform all students in school.
• Email parents and carers through Bromcom mail, please be aware that due to demand on the software, messages take time to get through.
• Post on the school website.
• Post on our Facebook page.

Whilst we will endeavour to make any decision relating to closure as early in the morning as we can, weather and road circumstances mean that this may not always be possible and we ask for your understanding in this.

Please do not assume that we will close the school because of inclement weather.
